I just populated this thing and starting playing. Holy lord, how much bass can a circuit have?! I tried some different values at C28 but im sure there is a smarter way. I fear i have to knock down ALL the 10u and 22u caps. Has anyone dove into modding this to a more reasonable bass range?

I can dig out the original and/or my build but I don't remember this being overly bassy.

With the high pass it sounds great. I was curious if I could make it more tame when it's off. But that probably affects the whole kit and kaboodle.

I’m in the middle of this build and realize that I don’t have 38.3K resistors, but I have 39K resistors. Would swapping 39K resistors for the two 38.3s have a large impact on sound and/or performance? I wouldn’t think so due to tolerance levels (I’m using the 1% blue ones) but I’m also very much a novice, so I suspect I’m prone to errors of thinking.

Nope, you’re good. Probably couldn’t even distinguish a 5% tolerance. JHS’ supplier was probably out of 39k at the quantity they requested so they went with the next available number
