been going down the octavia rabbit hole lately. put together a Octa-M
ayer rather quickly, having some problems out of the gate.
I denfitly rushed this build so any advice would be appreciated, I decided to table the toubleshooting until today. Starting this post at the same time.
Here is what I KNOW out of the gate:
Bypass works
continuity @ tip input jack to output jack tip (switched)
NO Continuity @ tip to ground
LED always on but brightness reduces 50% when switched.
Now, NO LED(although I think its just toast from me shorting it while starting to test) although Voltage at led pads
*Important note* when i first tried it out I made the mistake of not terminating D100. applied voltage for 20 seconds or so then realized that I spaced out it. Then terminated it. In other words there was voltage to circuit WITHOUT D100 for a breif moment....Amature hour.
I'm still pretty green with effects pedals, that being said is there a flow chart or some advice anyone could give me for troubleshooting?
diagnostic flow chart?
voltage test points?
anything would be amazing! Part of me hopes someone will see a obvious flaw right away, but I would really like to go though the motions so I understand these systems a little better.
