I noticed the Wish List has been updated and I wanted to put this one on here again.
The Peavey F800B is the amplifier Jesse F. Keeler uses in Death From Above 1979 to get his distortion. There aren't nearly enough PedalPCB circuits for bass, so it'd be very cool to see this one happen!
The schematic I added below is the one I found on TalkBass when looking into Big Game Pedals' take on the circuit. He posted it on that forum, so I guess it's okay. The PDF file I attached, is the build doc of the Big Game Pedals CVLT/F800B preamp pedal. For a limited time he also sold separate pcb's.
The circuit needs 24v, so it'd be nice to have the voltage multiplier on board. Also, I recently read an interview with Jesse F. Keeler that the preamp of his F800B runs on 33v, but that will only give a bit more dynamics and headroom, I guess.
The transistors are:
- NPN: 2N3391A
- PNP: 2N2907
Cheers!
