Pedalboard amps

As my wife and I near retirement we are slowly starting to pare down the collections of "stuff" to hopefully move into a much smaller space. I have a handful of amps that I plan on getting rid of (pretty much all of them except the ones I've built and I may just part them out before its all done just to be rid of them). Accordingly, I've been playing more and more through my PC and monitors, but can't help but like the idea of a small pedalboard amp into a 1x10 as a quick grab and play setup. I only play at home to myself, so a lot of power is not necessary as I don't really play loud anymore anyway. What's been any of y'alls experience with these small class D amps?

I play through my computer a lot as well. I'm slowly using an amp more and more. 10s are alright. I have 4 in my Tonemaster Bassman and one in my Princeton. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I have a Vox AC15C1, Orange Rocker Terror head, 1976 SF Champ, Randall 1W Diavlo, DIY Gibson GA-18T head and a little DIY 6F6 head along with a Jet City 2x12 slant cab with V30's and two DIY 1x10 cabs with Ragin Cajuns in them. Just too much and I hardly play the amps any more. I just use my PC and NeuralDSP or Mixwave plugins.

I have a Traynor SB200H in a DIY 110 "airhead" cab and it's a fantastic 25 lb. solution for grab and go bass jams. The head by itself only weighs 2 lbs/ or so. Planning on doing a powered 8 + horn cab for my acoustic guitar soon as well, probably using either a 200 or 300 watt ICEpower module from Parts Express.

I got a JC40 over the summer. It’s excellent once you figure out how to make it work for you. The JC20 is a smaller version. The chorus is amazing…

I’m really looking to get ris of all my amps. Just want the pedalboard, PC, and maybe one of the single 1x10 cab I built at most. We’re talking about going from a 3000+ sqft home to <1200. If I keep any amp it’ll probably be the Orange as it has power scaling.

I have a Quilter Superblock UK and love it. Does it sound exactly like a Vox or Marshall? Meh? I hear the Nano Cortex is decent too

I have a similar thing going on - have a few amps I built. Always wondered what I could do with them. I never play them anymore - they're cool as display but space can be an issue (hand build Fender Deluxe Reverb and Fender Deluxe 5E3)

Would is be "safe" to sell or more headaches than worth. Or "part them out" etc.

Since this is a diy forum… have you looked at a 3118 module with a preamp (i was happy using a modified box and all) Theres a thread that goes into more detail. I had a quilter super block uk for a bit as well was happy with it.

Speaking of 3118s, I just used one of these to power a 2x12 Standel cab in stereo and it's working ok. My only complaint is the BT voice screams at you when powering on. I'll find a different solution but for $3 it's a great start!

It’s a large thread.
