PedalPCB Blender - not much from tone knob or boost switch

Wow, this is great news - I'll try it.
Update on the comparison to my real 1973 Blender: The PedalPCB version sounds great, and I love it. But it's about 85% of the way there to the 1973. A bit more compressed, smoother, lacks the pure rage of the 1973... I'm no cork sniffer, either.
That said, since I don't really play a kind of music that uses these sounds and the 1973 Blender is so valuable that I've decided the clone is good enough for me and I'm feeling good about selling the 1973. That will allow me to buy a LOT of PCBs and components!

Of course! Glad I can contribute. Man, that thing is easy to open - 1 screw. I love that it has skateboard grip tape on the bottom for anti-slip. Pretty sure that is original. Very California.
Pics came out better than I thought, I played with light a lot to try and get component values clear. Let me know if you want more or a specific thing.
BTW, did the wire switch we've been talking about above, made a huge difference. My tone knob still doesn't do much, though.
Also included a photo of my build - I do tabletop with 1/8" mini jacks and relay bypass, no footswitch. Normally don't do homage but in this case, it was just too fun...

Your hard clipping diodes look completley shot. No wonder your original pcb sounds less compressed!

Out of sheer curiosity- how can you tell that they’re shot?

Also, @Robert - is the current build doc incorrect then? I have one of these in the queue and downloaded the doc a while back- wondering if there’s a new one now. Thanks!

Perfect solution? Let’s get that Shields Blender pcb cookin’ and leave this one in the dust!! 🏎️

Well spotted Hamerfan.

I wonder how they'll compare once the original is fixed.

Toy Sun — Maybe put those diodes on a switch, so you can have best of both options.

Wow, I'm loathe to mess with them - it sounds amazing as-is. Would love other's input on this. Certainly looking it a diode bypass switch on my own build, but is this vintage box better to leave as-is and sell, being able to say "all original". I mean, it sounds so good!
We may have stumbled on some mojo here...

It's looking that way (not just this build doc, this affects every Fender Blender project I'm aware of), but thankfully it's just a matter of swapping two wires.

@Feral Feline posted the corrected wiring diagram until I can get the doc recreated.
