Worked and sounds sooooo much better!
Update on the comparison to my real 1973 Blender:
Your hard clipping diodes look completley shot. No wonder your original pcb sounds less compressed!Of course! Glad I can contribute. Man, that thing is easy to open - 1 screw. I love that it has skateboard grip tape on the bottom for anti-slip. Pretty sure that is original. Very California.
Pics came out better than I thought, I played with light a lot to try and get component values clear. Let me know if you want more or a specific thing.
BTW, did the wire switch we've been talking about above, made a huge difference. My tone knob still doesn't do much, though.
Also included a photo of my build - I do tabletop with 1/8" mini jacks and relay bypass, no footswitch. Normally don't do homage but in this case, it was just too fun...

Out of sheer curiosity- how can you tell that they’re shot?Your hard clipping diodes look completley shot. No wonder your original pcb sound less compressed!
Ahhhh I missed that. Yikesby zooming at the upper right of the last pic.
Also, @Robert - is the current build doc incorrect then?
Wired mine up and it sounds like a GD Tubescreamer. What’s going on here?…It's looking that way (not just this build doc, this affects every Fender Blender project I'm aware of), but thankfully it's just a matter of swapping two wires.
@Feral Feline posted the corrected wiring diagram until I can get the doc recreated.
