Had a recent build on my board for a full test run. A commisioned build I put through the paces this morning. had it on the whole time for my drive pedal. Amentum Boost>Kliche' in same enclosure. Was only using the Kliche' side this morning. It's a church service so I understand it's not for everyone but this mornings worship was pretty on point.
14:50-19:10 and 25:20-42:15 if you just want to skip right to the tunes. I'm the chubby guy playing guitar with a ball cap on.
Link to live stream from this mornings service.

Think about it. In any given town there are probably more people gigging in church on Sunday than there are gigging in the bars on Saturday night. We are a demographic that savvy music gear producers target in their marketing. And as you know, modern P&W is effects heavy music.

Add to that you’re supposed to look like a “Grateful Dead” cover band and you should be playing a Duesenburg or thin line tele. I’m still kicking it out every Sunday though.

The music sounds great!! I don't have many modulation effects on my P&W board, just a tremolo, but the dirt effects need to cover a pretty wide range from light to heavy. And yes to the Gretsch, they are super flexible guitars that always seem to sit great in a live mix.

...to the point where every time I try anything by Neunaber it sounds like P&W to me!
It's all stolen goods. P&W stole it from 80s Euro-rock, and modern country and pop music are stealing it back. To the point where I can actually hear P&W influences in the Foo Fighters sometimes (or maybe I'm just hearing a band with too many guitarists each trying to find his own space in a composition).

That's exactly the thing I found out years ago - A good Gretsch works in a band context better than anything else. I was being frustrated with getting great Strat tones at home and then finding them sound thin in the band, or getting a big fat gorgeous tone from my 335 only to find it reduced to a muddy band of midrange at the gig. Then I bought a '64 6120 (this was 30-odd years ago) and discovered that it filled the stage with a full, rich, well defined glorious sound. Truly remarkable guitars. I've gigged with various 6120s now for over 20 years, only recently discovering the '59VS Duo Jet. I have some beautiful Gibsons including a fantastic ES-225 RI and a recent US Epiphone Casino which cut through a band just about as well as the Gretsches do, but for me the Gretsch is it.
