Should be a high pass sweep.
Fixing C1s value helped. Lifting R9 helped more.
I think some of the issue is this is one is my attempt to run Si Qs in it. (2n2221a in Q1and2, 2n2222a in Q3) Bought several boards to fudge around with.
But C5 and R9 create a HPF at 1.5k leaving little signal behind at the end of the taper.
I think I'm going to tweak those values some more. Maybe something like 18n and 220n would be better suited...
That would sweep to 880hz
Or just increase the value of R9 some to lower the cutoff(and decrease volume loss)
If one desired, you could replace R9 with a 100k trim pot and tune the hpf cutoff extreme to taste.
Also, fwiw, this guy sounds pretty gnarly without any clipping diode present. So if anyone decides to put a diode switch on here, definitely try a no diode position.
I'm still trying to fix my Dizzy Tone clone from this schematic:
Everything on the pedal works, my bias is around 1V when maxed out on Q3, sound is awesome..but there is a single problem with it, if you hit the strings super hard and stop them with your palm immeditately after, there is a weird gating sound (sounds like a phase for a second). It seems like the capacitor is charging and discharging..no idea. Tried over 20 sets of transistors (proper hfes and leakages), as well as diodes.
I'm slowly losing my mind with this pedal
I also built Gnat Fuzz, and the same exact thing - pedal is sounding awesome, just that small thing that I mentioned above.
Is that maybe how the effects behaves? I have no idea anymore, thanks!

It would be better if you start a thread in the Troubleshooting forum. Follow the troubleshooting protocol. Provide pix of your board. Tell us what part numbers you used for your transistors and diode. Measure the collector voltages on Q2 & Q3.
