PedalPCB Podcast?

Well, guess it depends on how @PedalPCB feels about this idea. Like I mentioned above, I don't expect ya to be directly involved. It's just a way to open things up and chat about DIY pedals and such as well as get the word out about things going on in the PedalPCB community as well. Can always announce any news and new releases that ya pass our way. Food for thought. :D

I'm introverted but absolutely willing to talk pedals if you need people to talk pedals. The only problem is I have a hard time stopping. My poor wife knows sooooo much about pedals now :censored:

Shoot I'm introverted as hell. People are exhausting.

But that don't mean I won't flap my lips at some bullshit on the reg. I work with a bunch of construction workers that need to understand the current topic that's invading my brain-space.

Interestingly, no matter the topic, my train of thought usually always ends at the "and that's why we're all doomed" station.

I would make an excellent podcast guest.

I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. There aren't many topics I'm comfortable opening my mouth on and most of the time I'm happy to stay silent, but when I talk about things like pedals I get super excited, and I feel the need to not only let everyone know how excited I am, but I also need to make sure everyone else is excited too.

We should probably be guests at the same time, I think we would balance well.

A DIY pedal podcast could be cool, though probably only ten or twelve of us would actually listen to it :ROFLMAO:

What podcast did you work on, pedal or guitar related at all? I listen to a lot these days.
I worked on a UX design related podcast. I also started on one for cycling called the Velonut Podcast. Still need to get back to work on that one. Been nearly a year since I've done an episode. :P

Ok, so after letting this topic gel a bit...figure it's time to revisit this a bit. Here's what I'm thinking...

We could call it the PedalPCB Podcast...but I would only do that with the blessing of @PedalPCB. That's his brand and I wouldn't want to use it without his expressed permission. If not, we could call it something like the DIY Pedal Podcast. Simple and to the point. Doesn't exist yet so there's that. Would need to work on a logo for it.

Either way, I would still love to get some sponsorship from PedalPCB. I can handle the fees associated with hosting a podcast, no worries there. Dunno what a "sponsorship" would look like but we can cross that bridge later.

Figure some sort of giveaways for listeners would be neat at some point...that is once we start getting a decent number of listeners. Basically just need to do a bit of grassroots advertising on the various forums.

Now for the more important part: Who's gonna be on it?

I would absolutely love to have folks like @Chuck D. Bones, @fig, and anyone else who would like to shoot the shit about the DIY pedal scene. Definitely would be nice to have a few folks who know their way around a breadboard and such to help represent the PedalPCB community. That way we can talk about new projects and what went into them. Always a lot we can talk about so the sky is the limit. Figure we can start monthly and go from there.

Jeff I'm flattered, but there is a long list of folks that are far more interesting and knowledgeable than me. @Feral Feline gave a prime example. I'm more of the guest you invite when someone bails on you and the crazy animal guy is out with rabies. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in participating! I'm very open to a modest sponsorship slot for the right venue. The good news is, I don't require promotional consideration beyond "....and by the Fig Foundation, helping young pedal builders with their bits and pieces" 🤪. (okay maybe a little less creepy but you get the idea).

I'd suggest firing off a DM to Robert to begin with. 😉

I want to come! :D

Also I would be willing to help with giveaways, if you're targeting DIY folks I could contribute a milled/UV printed enclosure or two. I know people are into that sort of thing, and I am probably one of the few nutjobs that own a CNC mill and a UV printer.

If you're targeting non-DIY folks that are considering it I also have a couple designs of pedals that are basically modded clones so I don't like selling them, and they seem like the sort of thing to just give away.

I'm ridiculously excited about pedals all the time and would love to help other people get excited about them as well.

None of them are you though, it’s all about personality.

+1 to hidden agendas.

It could be, like, a game. Guess the hidden agenda.

Is it shilling for my mojo parts business on the side?

Is it dark money for a political candidate?

Is it a secret plan to use lasers orbiting in outer space to crack the Earth's crust like a Piñata in hopes that we will be showered with delicious candy instead of lava?

Have stickman on, and it can be all these things.

Book me.
