Pendulum Volume Control Issue

I've just finished building my Christmas batch of pedals with a Pendulum and sadly this one seems to have an issue hopefully I can get some help with.

The volume/gain isn't working as expected/at all. There is no signal for most of the taper, except at a couple of points where there is a weak signal and another further along the taper where there is just under unity. If you go past that it is again silent. I've swapped the chips over with no change in behaviour. The volume pot has a rubber sleeve so it isn't shorting out there. I guess it could be a fault pot but that would be unusual.

The LFO part of the circuit appears to be working correctly and as expected with the depth and rate controls.

Couple of things, I definitely need to have the LEDs closer to the LDRs, but that shouldn't effect the gain stage to create my issue. The 12k and 18k resistors are each two resistors in series to get the required value and I've used 1uf electrolytic capacitors for input/output caps as I didn't have any film/ceramic caps with that value, but if it works for a Fuzzface it should work here, and it clearly isn't stopping signal entering or exiting the circuit.

Any suggestions?

You might consider turning C1 around, but I highly doubt that's causing your issue. C4 is the one I was concerned about but it seems to be oriented correctly.

Your 1/4" jack lugs aren't touching the corners of the enclosure are they? They look awfully close but could just be the angle of the photo.
