Years ago, I worked for an Apartment management company on an acquisitions team, we evaluated properties the company was considering for investment. While walking a property in a depressed area of town we learned a local church had sponsored a number of Vietnamese families and housed them in some of the units there. All day as we walked unit by unit, I kept thinking something was odd, after we finished and were walking back up the hill it suddenly hit me, and I asked: " isn't it odd we haven't seen a single dog or cat outside all day?" The staff informed us many residents had pets go missing recently, so no one let them roam free!

Almost 2 years ago my daughter adopted a kitten through a local rescue agency ...and then went back to college, so we have a third cat. The vet wrote "Agitha" on her chart and set 9/27 as her arbitrary birthdate. So Aggie is (sort of) 2 years old today! One of her favorite places to hang out is on my shoulder, and if I stand still for very long, she's likely to stroll over and make "the leap."
