I've been using this one for over 40 years . . . .



The other side is for wider chips . . .

My leg straightner is with all sides of the Op Amp legs sitting flat on the work bench and twist til it's at 90 degrees!
Flip & do the opposite side & it lines straight up to the Machined Sockets and I press them in.
That's how I have been doing it for years.

I use medium-length needle-nose pliers for IC legs…
