Just goofing around, but I do seriously want to know if the whole photovoltaic effect — ie external light shining on externally exposed clipping LEDs — is one of those things that's measurable on an oscilloscope, yet doesn't make a Rat's asterisk bit of difference in a band mix in the "real world".

So if a bright stage light, or the sun at an outdoor show, happens to shine on your clipping diodes — so what? It doesn't clip as much or it clips more?
