Pot bushing thread adapter?

McMaster has the 3/8 x 24 at 1/8th thick, but I think it’s just a single thread nut; good price though.

Maybe use a threaded insert on the pot? What's the pot threading?
If metric, maybe M6 to m10 would work?

I looked at these, can't find one with 7mm x 0.75 pitch which is standard on 9mm pots.
The easiest solution would be to get 3/8'' - 32 threaded rod and tap 7mm x 0.75 pitch & machined them off to length.
Dab of loctite & screw them on to 9mm pots.

Of course they're M7(confirmed datasheet). Damn. Found some 7x1 and 6x0.75...
I'm sure they're out there though

sadly discontinued Clarostat modular square pots

My apologies for posting on an old thread. I registered an account so that I could mention, State Electronics has license for Clarostat from Honeywell and they will sell custom pots in low quantities. I did spend $55 each plus a $50 setup fee for two potentiometers, but A****** quoted $3K to repair the instrument so it was well worth it. 500 ohm dual gang pots are rarer than hen's teeth!
