I love both of these circuits. The Article 59 is in the Tayda black hammer 125b enclosure with a blackout LED bezel a black footswitch and dark gray anodized aluminum knobs. It sounds absolutely terrific. It is the fifth time I built an Article 59 and I wanted to make this one a bit more classy. It has dress nuts on the Switcraft jacks as well. Both of these pedals had vinyl decals applied and then a clear coat was sprayed over the decals.

For the Chop Shop I have built three of these but I wanted to make a classier version so I used a Tayda Metallic Golden water texture 125b I painted a sun over the sag pot and used white vinyl letters. The footswitch is gold, the switchcraft jack nuts are also gold. Two knobs are gold anodized aluminum and the one on the sag pot is red to match the sun. The tone switch is a Taiway black short bat on/off/on and the corresponding vinyl T for tone is also black.

If you like dirt or overdrive you will love these pedals. The article 59 is my 70th build and the Chop Shop is my 72nd build.

I agree with @jimilee - the labelling is great! Makes me wonder why this isn't more common. But I sometimes struggle with those knobs because in some light in can be difficult to see where the indicator line is. It's a pain because I have heaps of knobs like those!

I like it right here where it’s growling and rolling. I tend to like more low so treble dialed back; this is good break up right here
Is it me or does the pedal have plenty of mids?! It has a bite to it for sure that you can feel in your ears after playing for some time. Or maybe it presence from the tone control.

It does have mids and I think it could serve most guitarists who like dirt. It is sweet to my ears but I prefer a circuit that can also have more options: transparent option/mid option/OD and dirt option - so my number one favorite od is a the ADHD, and the Tommy III is a close second.
