Pro-10 2.0 Build.

You know the story by now. It’s all @fig ‘s fault. When he generously sent out the Cowpoker and Mountain Oyster boards there was a surprise Pro-10 board hiding in the package. I think he knows I have been on a huge BluesBreaker rabbit hole lately.

I have a Pro-10 and love it. But I can’t not build out a gift board! So I decided to sub in some different parts to see what the results would be. I love the blue side so I left that stock but the green side I had some fun with what I had on hand.
One of the ic’s I used a JRC5532
Two of the diodes I used 1n360s
The j201 I used a j112.
One of the 8n2s I used a 6n8

Just those little tweaks and the green side sounds similar but noticeably different. A lot of the muddy lows are now gone and even though it’s noticably quieter than my stock build it still has more than you need volume. The drive is smoother and warmer but warmer without the muddy. It has a very TS mid bite to it as well. Very fun to play and sounds really cool.

I can’t have two Pro-10’s on my board but now I can’t decide which one to keep.

Kudos to our resident philanthropist. You rock man.

Thats awesome! What I am wondering is if TRS jacks can be used separate each side for a loop switcher. This would be a super helpful option. Of course, I could just get the separate pedals, but the dual drive saves space... and looks cooler! :)
