Here's a couple of today's victories. The Projectile is difficult for me to comment on since I'm more of a bassist and had little knowledge or interest in the Bell & Howell thing. I'd heard of people converting them before but I built this out of pure curiosity. It's certainly a nice sounding dirt with a unique voice. I thought it would be cleaner on both ends of the gain pot but it gets pretty filthy. There's also more low end than expected which is always welcome around here. Sounds especially good with my p90 baritone.
My first phaser was a green sovtek, chosen to match with my sovtek muff. I liked it but wasn't using it much so I sold it when I was in a bind. Years later I replaced it with a phase 90 and I'm still torn on which I prefer. I'm pretty stoked to have this sound on hand again, especially with the boost making unity volume easily attainable. I decided against doing any mods or 2knobjob funny business. No giant knob for foot twiddling. This thing definitely sounds a lot like my old unit. I recently picked up the bloodstone too so that comparison should be fun in the future.
