protecting enclosure printing...

Going to get a few enclosures printed, Gorva M45 in matt black, printed in black - any tips to keep the finish protected while I drill them?
Obviously clean up the metal filings as I go, but wrap them in something?

there's something obvious here I can\'t think of
 
Yep tape er off as Stevie said. I Use some cutting fluid too…I use water with dawn soap in it in a double tall shot glass and it keeps everything contained on the bit (no loose strays spinning around most of the time). I dip the bit and brush it off after a few passes.

I think the issue most people had were small bits, like lettering, that didn't have a gloss layer. Just don't use gorilla tape. Plain painters tape, maybe stick it to your arm first? Looking for limited adhesion.
Or maybe rub a candle or paraffin on the artwork before applying the tape.
Are you getting them printed somewhere that doesn't offer drilling? If so, could you predrill them?
Another thought is to use a heat gun/hair dryer to warm the tape(soften the adhesive) before removing it. This works in theory but I haven't tried it on enclosures. Works well otherwise. Don't need it to get hot, just a little warm.

gojira here in the UK does printing and gorva enclosures - it's all quite tight so I kinda want to do the drilling.
Mind you I'll mark the centres in the print to make it easy!
