I am a grunge kid. I came up as a guitar player in the early 90s - alllll the grunge. Then I took some detours. I just happened to hear some Alice in Chains this morning and, even with 30 years (oof) of life in between, Them Bones resonates. Hell, even more now than when I was in high school. I think I’m gonna dig out some Helmet and Jawbox and get all nostalgic 😂

Anybody else?

AiC and STP were my favorites of that genre. I always thought the AiC Unplugged show was the best of that series.
 
The high school garage band I played in debuted at the school talent show playing Pearl Jam’s “Animal” and Tom Petty’s “Runnin Down a Dream” (not grunge obviously). The lead singer idolized Eddie Vedder and sang exactly like him (for every f-ing song regardless of whether it was zepplin, nirvana, or we even did some steppenwolf as sung by Eddie vedder😑). Loved me some “man in the box” and “what the hell have I”. Thought I was the shit when I learned how to play “plush”.
