Sandspur question

I notice on coda there is a 2k2 on the schematic. But it's not on the build list on the Sandspur. Is it the 1 k that's replaced the 2.2 ?

Also for bias what voltages am i ideally after ?

Ideally, 4.5v is what you are after, but since you also have the external “sundial”, you might not want to straight out set it to 4.5. I ended up setting the sundial to noon and then biasing with the trimmer to give myself some wiggle room in both directions. Not sure ab the difference in 1k vs 2.2k but my guess is that a 1k in series with the trimmer and sundial gives you a little more room to play with different voltages/tones.

I doubt anyone could tell 3.5 vDC-7 vDC in a blind test.

I like 1.5 vDC and 5.75 vDC for Q1 and Q2 respectively on a Silicon Fuzz Face. I could be crazy though.
