Thank you to @dan.schumaker for letting me join the DS-2 build party late. Nice job putting this together this thing is dense and still quiet.
The boss DS-1 was the first pedal I ever got probably around 1999. It was my main distortion until I broke it trying to mod it around 2005. It’s fun being able to use its sounds again but this time with true bypass, a second voice and rear jacks. I also think it may be a little quieter than the boss unit I had.
This is the first pedal I have used the bypass board I designed in and I’m happy to say it works perfectly. It’s no more difficult to wire this up with the shielded cable I got than it was before with separate wires and it’s dead quiet. The only slight question I have is in regards to ground loops. Would best practice with this be to isolate one of the jacks from the housing to eliminate the potential for a loop?
My daughter picked the enclosure, hardware and did the graphics with Posca markers.
