Does anyone know of any real solution other than switching to the intelligent or non latching relay?
Basically, since the NE555 does not remember its powered on state when powered off, then on again, yet the relays mechanical latching mechanism does, I find it annoying that if I unpower the pedal when the effect is engaged, then repower it, the LED does not appear on, however the effect itself is engaged, with a large board it can be annoying to figure out one by one which pedal is engaged.
Also- it must be cycled to turn the LED on before it is able to actually cycle the coil itself. So, basically you need to press the SPST twice in order to turn the effect off, if you unpower the pedal when the circuit was engaged.
Is this simply the nature of the circuit?
