Had a request for a clone of the eqd black eye boost recently. Basically a sho etc. so figured id just make up a board.

Recently I switched to using an I/O pcb for dc and the jacks and ribbon cables (one of my best decisions ai think).

Circuit is awesome really pushes my black pearl 30 into break up nicely. For something so simple.

Customer wanted it very plain with just a black chicken head. I offered a 1590A but he’s all about the top jacks.

Kind of weird on the powdercoat. This came from @StompBoxParts its the black texture. Outside looks awesome. Not sure whats going on inside, almost looks like it was going to be a metallic green, or maybe its the base coat. 100% not visible from the outside (though you can see it in the screw holes before they are put on). Nice work on the custom PCB and overall build!

At least in your pictures, that green "primer" or whatever it is, mixed with the black textured finish, looks pretty cool. It's almost like a hybrid of their Tango Green (one of my favorites) and Textured Black. @StompBoxParts should make a production version of that hybrid! :)

Yea i kind of thought the same thing as you on the almost like they changed colors on it. It does look cool.
 
That definitely looks like it started as Tango Green haha. Tango Green probably came out suboptimal and powder coaters decided to put textured black over it. Textured black will cover anything but nothing will cover textured black. Looks kind of neat assuming you can't tell it's green when all sealed up.

Yea once the screws were in it was good.
