So I was in a bad mood.....

I was feeling particularly older than normal for the past few days, took my temp and it was 102.1. Took a covid test and *I'm positive again*. So this makes like about a dozen times I've had this stupid bug. I was in a foul mood and I needed something to cheer me up.

On a whim, I clicked on Aliexpress and typed in guitar. In retrospect that was probably a bad idea, but end result is that I feel *much* better and the bizarre thing is my temp went back down to normal when I checked it an hour later. The seller has 100% feedback and it's supposed to arrive on the 23rd of this month via Fedex. Woo hoo! I've found it's cheaper to buy Glarry cases, shipped by the boat load, than it is to buy one on Ali and pay the individual freight, so this is the total I paid which includes 10% California $ales tax....

Maybe that's what I need to do. I'm pretty sure I'm getting it for the 5th time (found out I've been exposed by two different people in the last week). At least each time it's seemed to get more tolerable. I've never had a fever with it and the first two times I thought I was going to end up in the ER on oxygen.

Maybe I need to buy some new gear to make it go away!!!

I am the reverse, I’ve never had any pulmonary problems at all, except for a mild cough! However, I normally get a temperature of 99.1, I was very surprised to see a temperature of 102!

I am feeling much better today, yay. My temperature is back to 98.6 as well.

Not sure if this is a side effect of buying a guitar or not lol.

You'll need to buy a guitar the next time you have a fever. You know.... for science.

I used to work for Portland Music Co. In the early aughts, a coworker had some urgent bills and offered to sell me his 3 most prizes instruments. An 90s Martin, 72 twin reverb, and a newish tasty tasty Gretsch much like that one, he was a huge Reverend Horton Heat guy. Snagged the amp for 500 bucks which was later sold for a similar amount to keep the heat on. Womp womp.

It says made in the USA, yet it ships from China?:ROFLMAO:
For posterity's sake, I always put a piece of paper inside the case saying when and where the guitar was purchased. On the ones that I’ve gotten from China I always put in a warning saying that this is a clone guitar - a facsimile and not a Gibson.

I also keep a string change log, noting which strings were used what date they were changed, and whether or not I like them, as well as anything that was done to the guitar, like changing the capacitors, the pick ups, etc.

Wasn't the amp working?

"C'mon kids, huddle closer to the output tubes ... Hey! Get that marshmallow away from there!"

Well I'll be! I cannot believe this is here 6 days after I ordered!!!! Ordered 4/12, delivered 4/18.:oops::oops:

I checked the tracking around noon and it said it was still setting on the dock in China, lol. Been too busy to play it yet, update later....

And my tiny bout of Covid was over when I woke up Saturday morning. Feeling great......

WAT I was under the impression that the sellers order the guitar from a factory when you buy it.
I've been waiting for a guitar for more than five months now. Granted, it's a lefty double cutaway in a custom color. At least it's' nice to see that the system can move a little quicker. Looking forward to your impressions of the new axe!
