Southern Belle (Greer Southland)

I was asked if I would make a Greer Southland for someone.... so I check and sure as rain, we find the schematic here.

I put it on the breadboard (thanks again to Robert for the trippin' breadboard) and I found the output to not go above unity even with gain and level full up. Doubled checked the schematic and I had it right.

I then ran the numbers and since the circuit has no recovery stage and with the diodes as they are, the gain from the op amp is lost as it runs the clipping and tone. The level is only able to attenuate.

Am I missing something? Has anyone made this pedal and had the same issue or ???

I built a southland a while ago and it worked fine. It's a higher gain version of the lightspeed, so it has that squishy sound. But it sounded fine. Perhaps you're missing the second half of the dual op amp?
