SOLVED Spirit Box no effect

Hello all,

This is my first non-kit build, I've built 3 other kits and some of the ornaments from MAS effects with 0 issues until now. Long story short, I'm pretty new but I've had good results from what I have done so far.

I'm doing the Spirit Box and everything went together pretty easily. I get a good, clean signal when the pedal is off but as soon as I step on the switch I get nothing. Also, the led is lit even when the effect is off but it's dim and gets bright when I stomp the switch.

Looks like you forgot the belton brick.

Also your pots are upside down.

Wow, messed that up pretty good didn't I? Thank you, I'll work on it.

Pots are on backwards, belton brick missing, footswitch wired backwards, and your big elec cap can be changed to one of lower voltage rating to fit better

I was trying to move the jacks to the side which is why I put the pots on the way I did. Of course I didn't account for the fact that it would change which pins go where. Forgetting the belton brick was just a bonehead move. I have it, I just didn't add it to my parts when I populated the board. Whoops. As for the elec cap, that's all I've got, once I use these up I'll get smaller ones. I have some film caps that are probably too big as well. I'm learning. Thankfully, these are cheaper lessons than, say, screwing up a neck when building my own guitars.

Thanks for all the heads ups and ideas. I'm going to work on it tomorrow and I'll post results.

Ok, I flipped the pots, added the belton brick and rewired the footswitch to the board and it works! Thank you to @Erik S and @falco_femoralis for their assistance. You guys are awesome!

Now it's time to drill a new enclosure with the holes in the right places and finish it off.
