What is the 1kHz filter in the diagram below? How would I set that up?

Looks like a 1kHz passband filter.

Edit: Yep, it's so you can take the measurements to compare to the stated 1kHz performance.

There's that witchcraft gyrator bandpass filter that will probably do the job - it's going to be absolute overkill and nuke everything outside of 1khz, but it's very cheap, has very easily available components and very low distortion. One of the examples given looks like it was made for this exact job.
