All hypothetical, would you participate in the sharing and use of design files and/or Gerbers for prints and faceplates? Good idea? Dumb fever dream? Does this already exist?
I know some share art already but it seems having it centralized would be beneficial to the community. Also, having a dedicated area may spur more sharing. Maybe combined with community made drill templates? Obviously, the caveat of free for non-commercial use should apply.
Thoughts?
 
I have some templates I'd love to share for drilling and could also contribute with some laser engraving "tutorials" for enclosures if that's any help.
 
I think it would be great to have another subforum in The Toolbox for graphics related assets.

I have used a couple tayda UV prints I found here, but they were not easily discoverable.

And I can start contributing after I learn affinity and/or kicad 😁
 
I use corel vector and know enough to place clip art I find, like the black cat fireworks logo, onto the pedal and maybe some control labels.

Having some art to use would be great, have seen a couple build reports with art I would love to use.
 
I use Photoshop and can export to PDF, PNG, JPG, BMP, etc. (No vector art.)

I also have a fair library of properly sized (300 dpi) color photographs of various bits of hardware - knobs, stomps, stomp dressing nuts, toggles, jacks, etc in Photoshop & PDF format for cutting and pasting onto mockup artwork images for 'look testing'. I can also hope to post the entire enclosure template library from AmplifyFun once permission is acquired. They each (enclosure type) come in .EPS, .PDF, .AI, .AFDESIGN and .PSD (all zipped together) formats.

Great idea!

For me, I probably spend more effort on the design than any other single aspect of a build, unless it’s a circuit I’m experimenting with. Even though I paint my pedals, (at least up to now, but I’m seriously thinking about doing a few printed boxes), I develop the designs in Illustrator, so have easily shareable files.
