This has been completed for a while but I had no inspiration for the enclosure. So, I decided to inspire myself from the original….ok fair enough, I copied it….

I really like the sound of it, a beautiful OD easy to dial in and with great Texas Blues tones….

Hey, i noticed you have the R6 raised up there. Is it connected or is it not?
Did you do the high gain mod?

Ah I see that now.
I just built this pedal. Making a mod to it to make a boost switch. Basically changing the value of R6 from 3.3K to a lower value increase amplification on the 2nd op amp stage. It works, but it would be more useful on a footswitch instead of a toggle. Not sure there room for that on a 125B enclosure.

I would say that this board is small enough to fit 2 footswitch side by side if you raise them up a bit. However they could be too close to each other to be easily selected with your foot. Never thought if it really...

The boost mod works pretty darn good.
I am also looking at seeing if changing R3 will increase gain at all.

So after breadboarding the circuit and trying a few things, I believe the real "Stevie mod" is to use a 1 meg gain pot and as stated earlier, instead of clipping R6, change it from 3k3 to 1k5 on a switch of some kind. This creates a boost at the end of the circuit.
I think it sounds pretty good. Great over the top lead sound (just my opinion though) but still keeps that " fender amp on 10" sound.
I really like this circuit with a gretsch as well. Tv jones pick ups sound great with this circuit.
