I've had this one done for a few months. Sounds warm and fendery with easy to use controls. Has a nice wide range of useful sounds. It has all the meat you want for bass uses while still being easy to dial it in for guitar. Another fantastic project from brother @vigilante398.
I used 2 12ax7 but I might try some of the suggested subs. It does start to distort pretty early on the gain knob for me with a p bass straight in but I don't see that as a bad thing. I'm not sure I would use this pre at a crystal clean setting since I'm kind of here for the filth anyway. I've especially been enjoying stacking the bass dude with the other sushibox pedals I have. Boosting this with the particle accelerator feels decadent but sounds so damn good. Fender on fender action.
I put off this build report due to some funny behavior but it doesn't compromise the sound as far as I can tell. When in bypass, if you turn down the volume pot to zero, the leds turn on. I haven't been all that motivated to dismantle again since it sounds and functions flawlessly.
A shout out to Tayda who is bringing the heat on these new colors. I'm really looking forward to the green sparkle in my next order but I'm absolutely loving this orange sparkle.
