Sustainiac Thread

I have always wanted a Sustainiac in one of my guitars but never pulled the trigger. A while back I grabbed a few of these Scientific Guitarist PCBs for making Sustainiac system. My thought was I would populate the pcbs and just buy the pickup new ($150) rather than pay the $250 for the whole system new. I have extra PCBS for all the Scientific Guitarist Sustainiac projects. I will list them below. If anyone wants a set of PCBs just PM me and I will send them your way. Let's build some sustainiacs! If anyone finds a good source for any of the parts to build the actual pickup, post them here in this thread please. The rest of the build seems pretty straightforward but the winding of the bobbins is new ground for me. I have 5 of each PCB so that makes 10 systems all day. Just tell me in the PM if you want humbucker or singlecoil and OG sustainiac (SMD) or FRMT. I also have the transformer PCB so you can use the Sustainiac driver as a normal pickup too. Hit me up if you are interested.

3x Singlecoil driver PCB
4x Humbucker driver PCB
5x OG Sustainiac PCB (SMD)
2x FRMT (thru-hole) PCB
7x Transformer PCB

here is a link to the projects:

I have been interested in the sustainiac for a while, probably since I heard suicidal tendencies as a teenager. I have been wanting to get into winding coils also. This seems like a perfect project for me.

What is everyone else going to use as a bridge pickup with their sustainiac? I'm considering a Dimarzio X2N for mine. I haven't had one but like it in a lot of recordings.
