TC1044SCPA alternate for DuoPhase

I'm building the DuoPhase and I think one of my TC1044SCPA is DOA from Tayda. I'm getting odd voltages on pin 5. Like a dummy, I only ordered 2 so trying to troubleshoot with what I have on hand, which is a TC7662BCPA like the VFE pedals use. It looks to be pin compatible. Anybody know if it will work ok?

I went ahead and tried it. No smoke so that's good. The output voltages are a little lower than the TC1044 but it seems ok I guess

May want to check the max current vs a 1044 and see if the 7662 gets hot.
