Geddy Lee. That says it all.

they didn't make many of these, but I think we all deserve to sound like Dirk. Maybe through the power of DIY, we can, whenever we slappa-de-bass!

I got one. Had the YYZ pedal and upgraded it to the MP40. The added Boost and Shape Shifter is pretty cool...but not 100% necessary. YYZ is good enough for most folks really. Great pedals though. Really lays down a nice bass tone. :D

His bass wasn't plugged into a washing machine?

Those front-load washer rigs always looked so cool to me.

EDIT: I just had to go and look at them again. I don't think I ever noticed in the past that they actually did display a video of tumbling laundry in the window. :ROFLMAO:

Actually, they had t-shirts in them and would throw them into the audience during the show. :D

Actually, they washed their stage attire during their shows, so they'd have clean outfits to wear for the next town's/evening's show. For that tour they'd mistakenly only budgeted two sets of stage gear, so one was always being washed.
Also, they'd had too many problems with hotel-laundry services losing stage-costumes and often couldn't find 24hr laundromats — it was the only time they could be guaranteed to get it done.

Ha! That sounds like something Alex would say.

While this thread is being bumped, I figured I should suggest the para driver (or DI2112 in a 1590DD) in the event that the MP40/YYZSS wind up being too large when converted to through hole parts.

Tech 21 has said that the drive side of all the Ged preamps are based on the RPM, and the pedal form of that is the para driver. Ideally with the shape shifter boost and tight switches retrofitted in from the MP40, without losing the clean blend in the para and larger units.

Taking a wild and unsubstantiated guess, I suspect that the deep channel on the Ged stuff is actually a simplified BDDI, and MBP makes a board for that, it's the other half that we're missing.

S'more 'gestions not tied so closely to the original's airport call sign:

or

"Morin Heights"

or

"Limelighter"

Or simply the airport's call sign spelled out:

"WHY WHY ZED"
