My first "Timmy" was a Caline Blue Sky, which is rumored to be a clone. This was long before I was into DIY pedals, and before the Timmy v3 had been released. When the v3 was announced, I immediately pre-ordered one, because I wanted to support PaulC. Not too long after I got the v3, I got into DIY pedals. One of my earlier builds was an Aion Termina, which I built with an 18v Bypass. That, along with my Blue Sky and Timmy v3, got sold in one of my many decluttering frenzies. In a nod to this thread, I later built the PedalPCB Tommy III. In keeping with this lather, rinse, repeat cadence - and more truthfully, as an excuse to further exercise my quasi-IC module, I made my own Timmy PCB.
I used the Aion Termina schematic as my basis, and according to the docs, this adopts some of the Jan Ray mods. I believe the Jan Ray, and the Caline Blue Sky I had long ago, are based on the Timmy v2. I'm not sure exactly what components are true Timmy and which are Jan Ray, except that internal bass trim pot, I'm pretty sure that's a Jan Ray mod.
Everything worked on first power on, and it sounds... like a Timmy! I don't think I can say much about this circuit that hasn't already been said.
I took the pics before putting in an opamp, right now have a 4559 in there. 1458 is another popular Timmy opamp, I might give that whirl eventually.
The enclosure is a Tayda Cream with a Sunnyscopa waterslide decal. As hopefully everyone knows by know, the "Tim" name of PaulC's original pedal was inspired by Tim the Enchanter from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I found a nice clip art image of Tim the Enchanter and used it for the graphic. Naming the PCB "The Enchanter" is a not-so-subtle homage to the Monty Python classic.
I haven't put knobs on it yet, but imagine good old black Davies 1510 clones on there.
