These Capacitors?

I am sourcing parts for a pedal build and trying to minimize the number of locations to save on shipping. That being said I have read that the Nichicon brand for capacitors is good. However the photos of these brand look different than any I've used in my (limited) experience. Any reason not to use these? Included a link of one specific value

They’re about double the width of what you want. Most of the film box board spaces are spec’d for 2.5mm width, those are 5mm. I use Kemet caps normally, they’re good.

What about TDK or Tommy? Are most things that Digi-key, Small Bear, Mouser etc. adequate for pedal building?

I use nichicon for my electrolytics. For film I use kemet or wima. Mouser and DigiKey carry all of these and pretty much everything at smallbear is geared toward pedals. stompboxparts as well. You need to look at the dimensions and lead spacing.

Oh, one more question. Is what Aion is listing as a MLCC cap the same thing as what small bear lists as a "ceramic disc?"

Negative. Mlcc’s are multi-layer ceramic capacitors. I’m no expert by any means but I believe the mlcc’s are considered better than the little ceramic discs for noise and accuracy. You can use either or though. I’ve noticed a lot of older pedals I have are loaded with the discs. They used whatever was available and the cheapest.
