This week on the Breadboard: The Hybrid Fuzz Driver Deluxe

Chuck I am shocked. You of all people should know that thick wire is where the TOANZ ARE!! Just get them in the right direction and you will have TOANZ FER DAYZ!!! PLAYN LIK BUTTAH!!!

@MattG - love your build. I'm impressed by people who can make their own PCBs - I will never be able to do that. I really like the grim reaper illustration. Are you calling the pedal Tuna Casserole?

But are you sure the power wires are thick enough? ;)

As you know, I like overkill for the sake of overkill. But sadly, in this case, the thickness is almost entirely from the insulation. The pre-soldered wires with JST connectors were advertised as 22 gauge, but there's no way that's true. The actual conductor is pretty small, I'd say it's maybe 24 gauge, likely smaller.

This is such an awesome drive pedal. I'll post a full build report later, but here are some pics in the meantime. Q1, Q4, and Q5 are BC549C (hFE ~520), Q2 is a 2N4123 from Tayda (hFE 79), and Q3 is a General Instrument 2N1304 (hFE 57 leakage 13µA). If you haven't built one yet, grab a Gerber from here and build one.

I like your style! Kinda looks like my Screwdriver (Madbean Cosmopolitan)…which isn’t far from the original! What font are you using? That’s the “American Horror Story” font…atleast looks like it.
