Time to be serious

I'm not sure anyone knows,
Anything that rhymes with potatoes
But in British English this just about flows

Would it make you pretty happy,
To know in Scotland we call it a tattie?
slice up, deep fry eat tae much ye fattie!

In Germany it's really not that awful
to eat a salad, Kartoffel
But in in Belgium try a lovely waffle

Of course that's not really fair
the syrupy sweet Waffles there
Are wheat based, and not made from Pomme de terre

So back to Blighty for breakfast we've gone
with waffles made from potatoes belong
while in Ireland, they prefer a Tattie scone

But what, if anything, rhymes with orange?
FINDING A WORD THAT RHYMES WITH ORANGE

Is a paltry form of challenge.
We'd have to scratch and scrounge
Around the yard and in the garage.
Seeking a word to rhyme with orange.

No it's not easy to arrange
A group of words that sound like orange
A noun or verb with which to exchange
To pull it from within a sporange

Lest we use a sponge to expunge
All the sounds that rhyme with orange.

The poor forlorn orange!

You can't rhyme potato with tomato where I live. Someone should write a song about it.

There are two names for potato in Germany; kartoffel and erdappfel (literally earth-apple). It depends where you are as to which word they use. But you'll always be ok asking for frites.
