Ultra Tester question

I am building another pedal and this time was interested in using the UltraTester to be sure signal is passing through.
I've been just connecting the jacks and battery with wire.

The build doc says to connect the ins and outs and the power and ground between the ultra tester and board. I understand the power and ground, but I'm not sure how to decipher how to connect the JI JO can CI CO pins. I feel like an idiot asking, but can't find info anywhere.

My assumption is that CI goes to your PCB input, CO goes to your PCB output.

JI and JO, I'm guessing are connections directly to the Input / Output jacks and won't be used with a lot of projects.

It looks to me like CI / CO and V/GND are the connections you'll most commonly be hooking up, probably why there are terminal blocks for each of them.

Again, I'm not terribly familiar with the Ultra Tester so I'm mostly guessing.

Thank you. Been reading...On pg 41 of the general guide, they sort of explain it that way too. So the tester supplies the jacks so I should only need to supply power and circuit connections. I'll give it a go.
