Utility pedals...

I was just looking at that. Where do the tubes go? I dont see a spot for them.

Off board. So I’m thinking of mounting them to the chassis. That’s how my Trinity was too. That’s the only thing I’m struggling with at the moment. A chassis and face plate. Everything else seems not too hard.
A great mods that I’m trying to get to the bottom of. Andrea seems very good at replying to emails at the moment.
I was wanting something high gain this time. My 18w custom plexi does the rock well but wanting something more metal 🤣

Yikes. Too much fiddling for me. Almost got me though.

Well my opamp buffered loop works great on the amp. I guess there are others like it out there. I haven't seen a schematic for the Ceriatone "Kleinulator" but I bet it's opamp based. One cool thing on that is the level control, Dumble style efx loops are highly dependent on the preamp level as they're just an insert between the pre- and power sections. But fortunately, I have not one but TWO Deluxe Memory Men in the loop which both have a lot of gain. I've got it dialed in pretty well. I think I'll wait until @fig gets his E-Lator in his hot little hands before going down that path.... :ROFLMAO: . Plus, I really don't want a piece of rack gear. If it will fit in like maybe a 1032L that might be interesting.

The other option is to installed a tube buffered loop in the amp chassis.

I was looking at this one from London Power.

I have a few power amps in mind... some already sourced. When I get 'round to building it all out I'll snap some pics. Two MMs? Yummy!

Are my hands really that hot? 🫠

Ok I just took a look at the layout for the e-lator. Yah, no way it's going to be a "pedal". Needs a power transformer. Bleah....

damn you Michael!!! I'll bookmark those 2 sellers. this time simple is right, I doubt more than the meatiest of muscle brains would need these controls labeled.

I feel ya for the pedalboard... easy to get the parts... motivation.... 🤦‍♂️ :ROFLMAO:

These are great @MichaelW. This has got me thinking about making myself a utility box for switching and routing.

I think for my needs, I'd want a splitter at the input so I could always run a signal straight from my guitar DI'ed into a separate track on my daw for reamping, and 4 switchable outputs at the end of my pedalboard for each of the inputs on my amp (2 separate channels, each with a hi and low input) I'll have to think about what else I might want

My favourite type of pedals! UTILITY for the WIN!

One question for you, though — BYOC's amp-switcher kit/PCB has a transformer for isolation, but you're using just buffers?

Utility builds… might not be sexy but man are they useful. I’m going to be building one similar to your red one that switches my amps preamp into and out of my modeler without ripping up cables. It’s nice to be able to run my amp through the plethora of cabs I have in the modeler
