Valhalla with charge pump?

Hi there !
This is my first post here. I already built some pedals before,but still a rookie .Valhalla is my next project and I was thinking to add a charge pump to run it on 18V. I can't find any schematic for this charge pump which is true bypass and the Valhalla is buffered. So how do I connect that this will work? Thank you for the answers

It's internally boosted to run at 12v, that would fry the regulator and charge pump already inside.

I forgot to mention that I have a 9V power supply.
As far as I understand the 78L12 is a regulator which gives 12V and needs at least 15V to work correctly. So voltage that comes to TC1044 is stabilized 12V and that shouldn't fry it. TC1044 gives regulated +12V and -12V so TL072 work on 24V. Max voltage for TL072 is 40V. Or am I wrong?

I could be mistaken, but I don't think that a TC1044 charge pump can supply sufficient current for this circuit when running as a voltage doubler. The maximum output current for the TC1044 is pretty low. You are asking it to double your input voltage which you will then run into a regulator (with losses), and into another charge pump (configured as a negative converter).

In my opinion, your best bet is to use an 18V tap on your power supply or purchase a separate 12-18VDC power supply to run this circuit.

You won't gain anything from trying to hack on another charge pump. The power supply of the VH4 pedal is a stupid design really. If you want to run it more effectivel from 9V, just don't install the regulator, jumper its in and output and it will run at around 18V internally.

You sure about that? Look at the schematic, the TC1044 isn’t configured as a doubler. You’d have to do some surgery on the board to make it run at 18V.

Yes. 9V bipolar is 18V

The Aion FX DZ4 has a redesigned power supply. Maybe you can get something similar using a charge pump IC (similar to the klon centaur one).

Thanks guys. I will probably purchase a separate 12-18VDC power supply to run it.
