a few weeks ago i breadboarded the V5 big muff and i was immediately keen to build one.
...and like many others, big smashing pumpkins influence, siamese dream being an inspirational masterpiece - this has been on my list for ages.
it’s got a unique crunchy crispyness that the others don’t quite have.
about a year ago i grabbed a handful of KR140UD1708 opamps from ebay. supposedly LM741 equivalent, so i thought they’d be fun to breadboard at least..
they sounded good enough, so im gonna keep using them in 741 positions.
not a bad layout (from dirtboxlayouts)

not sure if the tone bypass is for me.
just sounds so good in classic scoop mode.
