First up is a VFE Ice Scream (sherbet version). Co-worker requested a TS pedal so I ordered up a LGSM board, but then he wanted some mods and decided this might be a better option. This has a TON of options, however, with my setup, it seems to live up to the “ice” in the name. The EQ def jacks with the total output level enough so that it losses some of it’s boost capabilities. Compared it to my Keeley 808 mod ts-9 and def prefer it. We’ll see what my co worker thinks.
Next is the Filter FX project from Electric Druid. Super cool. Sort of auto-wah, sort of sample and hold, all fun. Has 8 different modes and tap tempo with the added expression pedal jack (now I need an expression pedal). Planned on using it as an LPF for bass. This I packaged in the new brown sugar glimmer from Tayda.
Last up is the Aion fx Blue Shift (dimension c clone). This one almost didn’t get finished. Just kept staring at it and thinking “yeah, not today” all the way up through the wiring which was….brutal. To be honest, I have reached the point of diminishing returns and am kind of ready to take a hiatus from building for awhile. That aside, in mono this pedal sounds nice, but prefer my Caesar. Stereo is where this pedal is meant to live. Still pretty subtle, but much more interesting tonally. Anyways, here’s the goods
