I have a confession..... I am not a fan of the Klon. I recognize that is blasphemous, but it is true. I've make a few Klons, but never found the right one...until now. I cannot fully explain why this version is better, but the articulation of the notes is fantastic and it is easier to dial in the right amount of grit. VFE has hard to find parts, so it took two orders (Tayda and Mouser) to accumulate the needed parts. I messed up on the UV printing. The art was supposed to be white, but I forgot to take out my black layer. Regardless, I do not think it looks too bad.

The Klon hype is annoying. But at least vfe has given it the tonal flexibility to cover more ground.
(Might be the best Clone Klon out there.)

Thank you for the Ukie Trident.

I do like the Merman and it's a unique take on the Klon. But, I'll be the first to agree that VFE are generally not easy builds, and I've built probably 40 of them, haha. Some are much easier than others, though.

Very classy build and love the hammertone. Good job keeping the wiring tidy. VFE boards are challenging for sure, but well worth the tones in the end. VFE knows how to tweak a circuit.
