SOLVED Virgil OD no sound

Hello y'all this is my first post...

well, a few weeks ago I started this building, I used to build pedals before coming to the USA. I got the parts to make this right and since it was a pedal that I´m going be using a lot (it is a double pedal), I decided to get "good parts" well I soldered the smd j201 and the other stuff and I was using the 3PDT order switch but as soon as I turn it on the pedal a huge static cracking started making noise and also i couldn't pass half noon on the pots because a loud whine started going...





My first though was the j201 since the other building was full of jfets that needs be biased but I saw the schematic and it looks like it is not haha, at this point I've had removed the smd j201 and I tried a th j201 but no luck, I know it works because I used the same jfet in the other building and it was passing the sound but it is not doing the same in the virgil, then I tried to solder again other smd j201 but no luck.

Then I saw this post on reddit and it looks like my first issue was related to this order switch but so I think I'm not going to use it...

Can anyone help me identifying the issue?

Also yeah the 4558 in the picture sucks, I had some rc4558p from Texas instruments.

Also I don't know if the flux could also be a problem, help please!

P.S. english is not my first lenguage and I don't have a lot in the USA so please excuse me if I'm not able to express myself.

one thing is that your footswitch wiring looks like you switched the ground and switch wires from your footswitch. Also double check your DC jack wiring.

What do your voltages look like?

Hmm the picture doesn't show the J201, the other 4580, also the level pot is missing. Were those installed before?

sorry for the late response..

one thing is that your footswitch wiring looks like you switched the ground and switch wires from your footswitch. Also double check your DC jack wiring. View attachment 62703

This is exactly as I had the wiring but I guess I didn't do a good job with the picture haha.

What do your voltages look like?

1:4.37, 2: 4.39, 3: 4.0, 4:0.0
5: 4.37, 6: 4.43, 7: 4.43, 8: 8.8

IC2:
1: 7.98, 2: 7.60, 3: 0.64, 4: 0
5: 0.66, 6: 6.74, 7: 8.10, 8: 8.82

Q1: E: 3.63, B: 3.89, C: 8.81
Q2: E; 3.62, B: 3.88, C: 8.81
J201: D: 8.81, G: 0.45, S: 0.60
Does this looks ok?

OK honestly now think it is the J201, or maybe the socket, it passed sound earlier but now is silence,

I just tried again, I used other footswitch 3pdt, I think i burned the blacked one from tayda, i just changed the 3pdt and now it is working great!
