I’m digging the klon with the bass mods right now. Could use a blend control but I like tracking a clean and effected sound so I can eq them differently.

That's one of the next builds I've got lined up for the bass board journey. So far it's hard to beat the Mofeta and Drebbel combo.

WH Pork & Pickle = the Pork Loin (Neve1073, IIRC?) and Swollen Pickle (Russian Muff)
B85 Ge OD = TS808 with bax-EQ and Ge Clipping diodes
Kasleder Jellyfish = No idea, but from the website description I've now know idea — guessing it's a bass-Klone with Baxandall EQ.
are either the compressor or the clean valve DI overdrives though?

Didn't know the Pork Loin had a 1073 vibe to it. 1073 into an LA2A or 1176 is my go to bass tracking tone.

sushi box's bass dude is also amazing. Based on the Fender Bassman.
ODB-3 variant from GCI is interesting too. All the bass dirt circuits from GCI and Sushi Box are worth the time and effort, in my experience.
I still enjoy Darkglass BK3 and the Vintage Microtubes, they both have their own flavor.
For higher gain, PPCB Cream Pie Fuzz is my favorite so far.
Note that the BassDude and the Cream Pie are also great for guitars.

I hadn't heard of this pedal before but now I'm really interested - the gain/blend works backwards from a standard Klon: more clean is blended in the further the gain knob is cranked.

yeah I know - I've built them! - originally I just had those two and the SS/BS mini.... then went back and added the other two. Barbershop is same topology as mini, so does it count? Confusing everything again!
