What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

You know the time you first solder a project together, and it works, and it sounds great, and it makes up for all the "oh crap why did I make it in such a small enclosure?" moments...
Prunes and Custard in a Gorva M45 (5mm or so wider than 1590A) with top jacks. Printed by Gojira in the uk...
I think I've missed the wire earthing the input when off, and the bass cut switch might actually be on in the down position...
But I'm pretty happy. with that.

Got parts and enclosures for another 5

Oh and after 10+ years my solder sucker broke.

I've had …words to say about Gørva enclosures in the past, but I have to say that M45 looks intriguing. I like the height of the A, but the width of the G, and that looks like an interesting compromise.

This build has been a bit different to others for me as a robot in China stuck on most the parts which was waaay easier …
What it’s good at is top jacks. Top jacks are amazing. In the width you have a MXR style pedal with side jacks I could fit two of these (and that’s using super slim EBS gold cables on the Mxr)

Awesome build man!

Finished Megalith and this time didn’t go p2p route. First tried +400Hfe bc3XX transistors, but subbed to asy29 50-55Hfe. After taking picture I got wild and put +20k Hfe darlington for q3. It was better I think and More Heavy setting was more defined compared to Si/Si/Si, Si/Ge/Si and Ge/Ge/Ge tryouts. First time playing with Germs and fell for ’em instantly how responsive and nicely decaying notes were. Had a moment I thought ”this is most beautifully sounding pedal I’ve build” when guitar volume was turned bit down. Also tested how Si/Darlington/Si sounds. It was too sludgy even for me and honestly didn’t know my limit on squarewaviness before, but now I know. :D

Maybe I need to build another Megalith for that unusable wall of fuzz?

And I hate sidejacks too, this enclosure was drilled times before joining the Kvlt of Top Jackers and was salvaged for this build. ;)

I’ve had this midiverb 3 sitting in the needs repair pile for a while. Mostly functional, but would intermittently glitch and cut out. Caught a YouTube vid of someone fixing one this week and got me motivated to look at it.

Took an embarrassingly long time to find the cable connector that wasn’t fully seated. Snapping that into place seems to have cured it.

Sometimes it’s the easily over looked thing that fixes it.. but that’s also pretty awesome when it’s a simple fix nonetheless.
