Well done! For the switching, you may find this useful . . .I've just finished the biggest trace I've ever done. MXR X100. Well, actually it's not really finished until I manage to find someone who can independetly verify it. It's a Level 100 Final Boss fight.
First thing I want to do with this is to figure out a mod to directly engage any of the 4 modes using some external switches, without having to cycle through them.
^ Thanks, I'll take a look. But I have the feeling that there must be a really easy way to tap into the existing switcing logic. There's already a CD4052 onboard, driven by a binary counter incremented by the mode switch. I just have to turn it from a "sequential gearbox" to a full 4-speed stick shift, so as to speak.
Precisely. You should be able to come off from diodes D11, D12, D13 & D14 for "Q1/Q2" logic, (or directly off the CD4042 for "Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4" logic), to the existing CD4052. (If that's the device controlling the 4 Modes. The schematic you posted is a bit hard to read.)You should be able to use the resulting logic from the CD4042 and diodes D11thru D14 and apply to the existing switching devices in the original.
Try decreasing the feedback resistor a smidgeHad to make up for my shortcoming, sovietly

Still tweaking a few things- these backward UD1408s are a significantly darker than the correctly oriented version and the 308s

Cool. In the top portion of the schematic I posted, you could eliminate the CD4052 devices and you should be able to come off from diodes D11, D12, D13 & D14 for the "Q1/Q2" logic used by the existing CD4052 analog switch.^ Here's (most of) the mode switching part, in glorious HD. I guess I just have to devise an alternate way of setting pins 9 and 10 of U11.
