What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I was going to say something about "thank god someone is bringing back the OG anal flanger", but I guess nobody else read it that way? I assume the red is the LED and it's not just randomly highlighted like that? Probably not a real issue, at least as long as the O is still there and not covered completely by the bezel or something.

Progress on my Diezel VH4 inspired preamp. Turret boards are done, all chassis drilling finished (I hope), artwork applied. Ready to start soldering :)
Suhweeeet! What's the bracket up top? transformer mount?

Have you checked out the Randall MTS stuff-- the precursor to the Egnator/Synergy dual channel units?
There are some schematics floating around out there. May be useful for future preamps. V1 lives in the amp/preamp chassis and V2 and V3 are on the preamp modules.
There are a couple of modders out there as well. Salvation Audio and Jaded Faith are the only 2 still going I believe. Salvation does some pretty amazing mods.

Yeah, it’s a vertical toroidal transformer mount.

I’ll have to check out the Randall MTS stuff! I have four preamps including this one mapped out on paper and most parts on hand already. Wizard MTL (souped up Silver Jubilee), Mesa Boogie Mark I, and some sort of bass pre (likely SVT).

I had been playing around the idea of making some sort of modular test bed. I had been thinking for the amp I have in my queue (after the Sunn Model T): power amp based around Park 75 (2xKT88 w/ vintage spec 50w OT paired with 100w PT for exploring OT abuse), preamp modular but also I’d make the PI-driver section modular to test out some ideas there too. Likely I’ll just drop a Dumble ODS pre in there though and call it a day haha (boring!).

I have a JTM50 transformer set just sitting around too. So maybe that’s the modular framework.

Enough of the base module schems are out there to mod the Randall modules fairly easily.
If you are patient, a RM4 can be had for ~500-600USD
You can find donor modules for sub$200.

Also. The resale isn't going down.
Unlike the Egnator (short lived then licensed to synergy) And synergy modules that despite being dual channel, lose their value after purchase.
Good modded MTS modules still go for $400+ at times.
Wagner still has a haul of them in the rare RM12 racks IIRC.

Yeah the RM4 stuff looks very cool. I'm too far in the built from scratch camp though haha.
