Well one could make the argument that a "weak lopsided phaser" is exactly what a vibe is hahahaha. Honestly though, I have yet to be able to integrate any of the vibes I've built (4 and counting) into actually make MUSIC. I mean, after about 5 minutes of playing the only Robin Trower lick I know, I'm kinda done and back on the shelf it goes...... :ROFLMAO:

Staining on the bench. It’s black dye on pores and blueberryjuice with isopropyl for purple. Thinking about adding some deep yellow with curcumin. Maybe?

Still drying to be sanded before pore filling with oil sanding, but more colours! Bare sides went through turmeric treatment and also added it on top and back. Also more blueberry juice went in.

Maybe sides will get some black? Gonna do pore filling with hempseed oil to get slight green tint there.
 
Working on designing 3D printed enclosures for my open source onboard preamp modules, which are going to be pretty cheap via JLCPCB. Probably time to take another stab at learning some CAD-fu, I reckon. These first proofs were just done with an online parameter configurator, which took like a minute each:

Took a little digging to find scripts for small enough ones, oddly enough. Just have to work out some slots or connectors for the off board wiring and I’ll be good to go.

Making a little 1 knob headphone amp with the tda2822 (mostly to learn PCBA) to put in something else I have cooking up (a reactive load box/IR loader/EQ/reverb) for headphone use with my tube amp. I should just get PCBs and do through hole due to how cheap/small/low part count this is but hey, it's fun/new to me. I will probably have a few extras if anyone is interested.

Edit. Pictures step is filling/saturating pores/grains with hempseed oil. Left it there soaking overnite and if it’s still wet to touch afternoon, gonna give it a light sand with oil and wipe excess off. After it’s dry I’ll do high grit dry sanding. If satisfied on colour and 3D-effect process towards varnishing and if it’s not good enought, time to do more staining/sanding…

Starting to put together the reactive load -> daisy-> headphones box. Based on the project by @optilude https://github.com/optilude/MuleBox and the attentuator design by johnh over at https://marshallforum.com/threads/simple-attenuators-design-and-testing.98285/. There is a bypass switch on the back to go straight from head->speaker. This is a mildly fancy way of playing with headphones/IR/a little reverb/stereo spread.

The left side is for a hothouse PCB for the daisyseed, and maybe a headphone amp, maybe I need to make a new board to fit. And the top left will have the 6 knobs/3 toggles from the pcb.
