What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Us boomers know some stuff. I went the other way and my old Yamaha is about the weight of a tennis racquet so still using a skinny strap.

Damn fine looking LP there. We took in a Gibson "Greeny" at the store a few weeks ago, and although I love the relatively comfortable weight and the war club sized neck, the pickups didn't blow me away like I expected and the decidedly MATTE finish (and I do mean matte) is perhaps an acquired taste. Most unusual Gibson neck I've ever played.
Adam from Tone Hatch pickups wound all the humbuckers in my Gibsons. He makes super high quality custom order stuff at an unreal price. And I've never waited more than 2 weeks from ordering till they ship. @MichaelW recommend him.

That's the unburst finish, and that boomer strap has been a real game changer. Now I gotta work on the carpal tunnel and tendonitis in my fretting hand 😑

Hacky hacky.. 0.22" but 0.002" tolerance hand carving with scrapers.. fun fun.. today was scratch and sniff of the area between the two sets of dotted lines. Cleaned up the resonance lines nicely.. the Q-factor is going up so the peaks are getting sharper. You may need psychiatric testing after attempting an archtop.. when they ask ink bot questions there's babble about monopoles, dipoles, rings, crosses and Xs..

More banging head against wood tomorrow.. same time.. same place.. this time the outer area with the same attention should make for further improvements.

MkIII tone bender with x3 MP38A and a D9E.

i think i like this one even more than the MkII. seems beefier.
EDIT/UPDATE:

sorry guys, i am a buffoon.

full disclosure:
i breadboarded this a few months ago, and it sat on a shelf for a while.
i'm pretty sure it got knocked off the shelf at some point, Q2 fell out, and I haphazardly reinstalled Q2 like this without noticing that these should be in the same row.

so effectively it was running like this in that demo, and i didn't even notice (until i actually looked at the breadboard properly just now)

so i plugged it in again to compare and hear the difference v. correct build.

while the overall voicing is the same, the difference is noticeable. this error cuts gain, and high end/clarity in a way that wasn’t heaps noticeable on bridge pickup but quite noticeable on neck pickup.

definitely sounds better without the error.
🤦🏻‍♂️
