At least two coats, usually three. This one just happened to lay on nice. I do the first coat really light, not covering the surface entirely. Let that dry for 10 or so minutes, then another light coat to cover everything. Then depending on the paint and recoat time, another good medium final coat. Cover it up with a box and let dry for a good 20-24 hours. This is when I’d put a water slide on, then after it’s dry, cover with clear the same way and let dry overnight.

I wouldn’t do this indoors unless you had a super strong exhaust fan, and then still, I probably wouldn’t. Know anyone with a garage or workshop?

Rustoleum one coat unless I don’t get good coverage that I missed. So, one and touch ups.

To add to Temol’s suggestions, a little-used stairwell?

Trouble-shooting intermittent power on my build for a friend’s Bday (Drive 55, GrandLaff Di-Anemic OverDosin’).
He loves it and gigged it; luckily the power issue only arose while we were trying out different diode combos.

In the 2nd pic you can see I clearanced the enclosure for the power jack, but if you look closely the jack too is modded. The backing ring-flange is cut flush with the barrel’s flat spot — helps to fit 1590B top-jackage.

I have to pull the SPDT to get the DC-jack out, to make life easier I pulled the IN / OUT jacks as well.

CONCLUSION
Determined my soldering is good, but the DC-jack itself is crap. Used needle-tweezers to pry out further the metal tongue that contacts the barrel of the plug. Worked a treat, nice solid connection, so I buttoned it all back up and checked again…

Unfortunately it's just a residential building. An old stone one that was renovated. My apartment is a 28 m2 studio and the one room is only 20 m2. And soon my GF will move in and she'll take over my bench.

At this point I'm just collecting info in case I can build again in the future. That's why I'm doubly disappointed that my Fuzzrite isn't working, it's the last pedal build before I have to put everything on hold.

That sucks. At least try to work on a little at a time even. If you can.
